If additional outside funding becomes available, should completing the Dublin Boulevard Extension be one of Dublin's highest transportation priorities? Do you think the extension would relieve congestion—or encourage additional development and traffic? If you could redirect transportation dollars toward another Dublin project, what would you fund first?
Dublin is seeking funding for the Dublin Boulevard Extension. Explore the project's potential effects on traffic, growth, infrastructure, and regional transportation.
The Dublin Boulevard Extension caught my attention because the City recently identified it as its **“most immediate priority”** in seeking outside grant funding. With roughly **$76 million** currently identified for the project, I think this deserves a real community conversation about both the benefits and the tradeoffs.
I'm including the reference links below so you can look at the information directly and form your own opinion:

I'm especially interested in hearing from people who regularly drive Fallon Road, Dublin Boulevard, I-580, or commute between Dublin and Livermore.
**Would extending Dublin Boulevard actually make your daily commute better—or are you concerned that it could bring additional traffic and development?**
And here's another question I'd really like residents to answer: **If Dublin had the opportunity to secure millions in transportation funding, is this the project you would prioritize first? If not, what would you fix instead?**
You don't need to be a transportation expert. Tell me what you experience every day—your commute, your neighborhood, the intersection you avoid, or the improvement you think Dublin needs most.
Different opinions are welcome here. If you disagree with me or another commenter, tell us why. That's how we get beyond talking points and start understanding the choices Dublin is actually facing.
